You feel like you're floating on air; the world is yours. The moon shines, the stars fall, the night envelopes you in a blanket of black while the water lulls you to sleep. While in his arms you feel safe and content.
But it doesn't last.
He's gone, and you feel unsure. The world seems dull again and the only time you are very stable is alone amidst the darkness. The stars dull. The moon dulls. The water is stagnant. Why does your body feel heavy? Why does your chest hurt? Were you not happy? Did his smile not warm your soul?
You're uncertain. You're scared. This is new. The feelings, the words: all new.
The wolf is shaken and alert. Running takes her mind off of a new hunger.
The raven leads her down a road of uncertainty, a future unplanned.
Run. Just run.
